The installation is made from molds used to cast sculptures—objects traditionally kept hidden as mere tools of the process. Displaying these technical forms breaks conventional logic. This gesture grants the molds self-sufficiency, freeing them from their usual utilitarian function and unveiling their artistic potential. The molds assume the status of objects.
The objects are connected by chaotically scattered wires. Like umbilical cords, they attach through openings used to pour material for sculptures. These literal, physical connections bind the objects into a group, creating dependence. Like human relationships, these connections are nonlinear and tangled. The objects can achieve independence only if the umbilical cord is cut.
